Hey everyone! Fandom Wiki added a "Thanks" extension, through which you can thank other editors for their posts. It's totally optional, but I thought it might be fun to use it here. What do y'all think?

Hi all! I wanted to open a discussion about the possibility of a few active users acquiring administrator rights to this wiki through a process called "Wiki Adoption."
As you may (or may not) know, there's a small community of very active editors to the Dappervolk wiki. None of us are officially affiliated with Dappervolk. There are only two (as far as I can find) affiliated users, who also happen to be administrators: User:Dappervolk and User:Jakalloops .
The Dappervolk administrator account hadn't made any edits for ~3 years before I managed to get in contact with Quis (Dappervolk's main site artist) through a Twitch stream. The Discord server that was created for communication with wiki and site staff is regularly ignored by said moderators and administrators, even after multiple direct pings, and calls for changes usually go unaswered for up to years at a time. (For full transparency, I have also discussed this topic of administrator rights in the Discord, and there was no response from staff.)
Fandom wikis allow the "adoption" of wikis, which doesn't remove the current administrators, but allows dedicated users to go through a process to acquire administrator positions. You can read about the adoption process here.
We all know that Dappervolk is an active site with regular content! I believe that our community of users - who aren't affiliated with the site, and yet still keep this database of information up-to-date and looking nice, for free - need a few more permissions in order to keep things running smoothly. These permissions include things like adding custom mobile CSS, adding custom Javascript, and deleting unused pages, all of which are currently locked behind administrator rights. Adding trusted administrators over time is actually a process that Fandom.com itself encourages.
As you can see from the adoption requirements, since we don't have active administrators, I am required to bring the discussion to the community. I am prepared to apply to adopt the Dappervolk wiki on November 7th, which will have been 60 days since User:Dappervolk, the currently listed site administrator, made their last edit. Currently, my plans if my adoption request is approved are to:
1) Delete unused/unnecessary pages (linked via the {{Delete}} template),
2) Add custom mobile CSS to make thumbnail images not appear massive on mobile, and
3) Add custom Javascript to allow us to continue deeplinking to infobox tabs.
Past that, my priorities would include site upkeep, dedicated templates/template pages, and accessibility.
However! I don't want to assume that I'm the best person for the first iteration of the administrator adoption, since I know that we do have many users who've been active and editing for far longer than I have. The adoption process isn't limited to one user, so other active editors could also apply. (There's a "Bureaucrat" role that could allow appointed administrators to designate other users as administrators, as well, and can be requested as part of the adoption process. That might be the way to go about it.)
I do not know if applying to adopt the Dappervolk wiki will open us up to onsite consequences in any way. I would not imagine it would, as this process is essentially asking for the ability to do more free work; however, it's possible that they would like Administrator permissions to remain locked down.
If either administrator sees this post, please feel free to weigh in: we are reaching a point where we need more permissions in order to do our (not officially sanctioned) jobs, and if we can't do it, then the existing administrator needs to.
Please feel free to discuss this topic below, whether it regards the adoption process as a whole, suitable candidates, different fix priorities, etc.
Thank you in advance! <3
This includes the ones for pets, items, the tabbed clothing and food boxes, etc. Please let me know if you run into any weird bugs or if you found one I missed!
(The thumbnail images were and have always been huge on mobile; they need custom CSS to fix.)
Edit: Deeplinking (like [[Lilia's Flower Gem Necklace#Uncommon]] taking you to the Uncommon tab) seems to no longer work with this infrastructure. I've asked for technical help here.
I managed to get 2 big wins; first time I got a Bronze Lantern, second time I got a Pirate Coin Shell.
Vaer's balancing varies in quantities; I got 2 accolades (added in the page), but next time around I actually read the prompt and it was 6 if even and 5 if odd.
Minor stuff or text I usually add to the wiki myself but idk how I would add this stuff without messing things up so here you go!!
Do items transferred auto-transfer to your inventory? Someone sent me some glowshrooms but I don't remember seeing any in my inventory
I already know the answer to this one (its the blue [totally didnt look it up]) but i saw its like answer answer isnt there and i think maybe it could be pressure bc like pressure does the thing and creates a silly star and pressure can like make u explode and like freeze up
I got the riddle "I can disappear or appear where I please but a swirl of destruction is left behind me." and the guide said the answer was yellow but the game told me that answer was incorrect.
Here is a collection of new dailies in louise hill (not all of em), I feel under the weather and not really feeling editing the pages, if anyone else wants to do it. I'll grab screens of the choice screens sometime.

I'd like to make an update/newsposts archive page similar to this -> https://dontstarve.fandom.com/wiki/Don%27t_Starve/Version_History
With collapsed tables. Is this wanted? And if so, could it go on the front page when complete?
It wouldn't be copy paste of the news posts, more like "All of these items were added. This was changed. This new feature was added." and such
I got one that wasn't answered on the wiki yet!
"With me you'll climb the highest height. Or slumber sweetly through the nights. I am a buffer from life's cold: A smiling face, a hand to hold."
The answer is red-- honour!
June is "Play Silvie's Mine 3 times."
Hello y'all, how are we feeling about potentially making seasonal festivities hubs for each season with each main event's seasonal stock (sans deity items) and adding those under a separate heading within event shops.
The hub pages would detail how the event type works (ex. Winter Gifting), the events that have happened, and the rotating shops.
Your breath comes out in puffs of steam as you give chase. Astra
hobbles ahead, his lantern bobbing wildly. You call out to him, but that
only seems to spur him on.
Suddenly, you hear a squawk and a thud. The harpy trips over a small
sand dune. His pack flies into the air, its contents spilling onto the
ground. As Astra falls face-first, he yells...
Astra: Ivita’s curse!
For the riddle that has the phrase "Like a vein of pure gold...", the answer is not yellow either
So it must be Green!
For louise field, it says,
"I grace the top of well-baked treats, in any market sold, i dawn the veil of kings and queens..." then i did a dumb and forgot the rest, but the answer is Gold (Tenacity)
Are very few people on Vaer Reef/don't own Coral Depths? I'm not at Vaer yet (Working on Carnaeu's 75) but I was sorting my pets for future alchemy and need a Coral Depths pen to put some in.
Bummer that I gotta wait until I get there. :/
What colour are the leaves of the beetroot plant?
The answer is red, so Honor.
