Carneau is the mayor of Aviar Cove and a member of the board for their historical society. In his eyes, tradition is an important aspect of life and respect and he is saddened to see the younger generation rejecting it. Manners will go far when interacting with him.
As mayor, Carneau takes on many duties, even organizing parties. The Aviar Cove Air Carriers, the flying postal service, is his pride and joy. To see young people especially taking an interest in the art of flying fills him with happiness.
Background[]
Carneau's family has been involved with the historical community for many generations and his father was the previous chair of the board. Aside from that, he too was an air carrier since finishing his studies all the way until he retired.
Even as a youngster, Carneau was keen on upholding family tradition and his specialty as a student was history. His own daughter is more indifferent towards the subject and has chosen a different path in life, though she has inherited her father's stubbornness and love of the skies. She has left the nest and most likely lives elsewhere.
Carneau developed a love for baking through his mother's family recipes.
Personality[]
Upholding tradition is very important to Carneau, as is keeping it "alive" in the younger generations. Carneau also has a bit of a pompous and self-important manner, which is somewhat fitting for a town mayor.
Relationships[]
Carneau harbors a secret love for Celestine, but has for long kept it to himself, describing himself as a "timid romantic." Their opposing views do not seem to bother him as he finds everything about her fantastic.
He has tried to recruit Johaness to the Junior Air Carriers. It is his way of trying to do something good for him, as Carneau believes routine, discipline and guidance to be important. This hinders Johaness' dream of building a boat, as Carneau will repeatedly deny his requests for a docking permit.
During the seasonal event Kelbi's Spiralwood Festival he helps Lula organize the festival and wake up Kelbi. He participates in preparations and leads the Air Carriers performance during the Clattering.
