Classes

From left to right: Human, Animal, Elven, Galactic

Classes, also known as races, refer to the species of a player character's avatar. The four classes are Human, Animal, Elven, and Galactic.

==Gameplay Differences==

The differences between the four classes goes beyond aesthetic choices. Every class has its own stat affinity (or advantage), weakness, and in-universe lore.

Physical Differences

Each class has a different set of apparel that cannot be worn by any other class. Upon character creation, all classes get to choose a class-exclusive skin, hairstyle, mouth, and eyes. Additionally, the appearance of Adventuring sprites are also determined by class.

There are also additional wardrobe items exclusive to a class:

Humans have Armour and Auros.

Animals have Tails and Ears.

Elves have Runes and Jewelry.

Galactics have Crests and Antennae.

All starter items available during character creation can later be bought from Nico's Atelier or the Class-exclusive shop in Peddler's Port.

Human

"Humans are generally known as a tenacious and hardy folk, which is why they have somehow remained the class with the highest population despite their relative lack of special abilities or skills. Perhaps it is through their teamwork and ability to stand back up that they have been so successful."

Stats

Of the Stats present in Dappervolk, the Human class has an affinity towards Tenacity but a weakness in Charm .

Housing Affinity

Housing affinity is a concept that may come into play in the future of Dappervolk. Humans would have a talent for fishing.

Exclusive Items

Human players have exclusive floating auros and special elemental armour. Declan's Stall in Peddler's Port sells all of the human-specific items. Declan's merchandise rotates every hour.

During character creation, human players can choose one elemental auro and one piece of elemental armor. They do not have to match.

Animal

"The animal class is a group of people with animal-like characteristics. Their traits vary widely but they usually have one thing in common, and that's heart. They're honourable creatures that treasure the bond between friends and family, often willing to sacrifice their own wellbeing for the happiness of those they care about."

Housing Affinity

Housing affinity is a concept that may come into play in the future of Dappervolk. Animals would have a talent for cooking.

Exclusive Items

Animal players can wear special tails and animal head accessories (ears, horns, etc). Moira's Stall in Peddler's Port sells all of the animal-specific items. Moira's merchandise rotates every hour.

During character creation, animal players can choose a tail and a pair of ears. They don't have to match.

Elven

"Elves are a charismatic group of people that enjoy showing off their skills in various fields such as art, music, science, all for the sake of winning others over and having a merry time. On the flip side, they can also be charismatic to a fault, and try very hard to change your mind if you disagree with them."

Housing Affinity

Housing affinity is a concept that may come into play in the future of Dappervolk. Elves would have a talent for gardening.

Exclusive Items

Elven players can wear exclusive body runes, as well as elven gem jewelry. Vierre's Stall in Peddler's Port sells all the eleven-specific items. Vierre's merchandise rotates every hour.

During character creation, elven players can choose both runes and jewelry. They don't have to match.

Galactic

"Galactic people are rumored to have come from the night skies, far far away from the land. This may explain why they're always so enamored by things they don't know about yet, and their powers of comprehension are unusually high. The galactic class are the most curious and inquisitive of all the classes, this may be why they often develop the most advanced technologies."

Galactic players can wear exclusive antennae and crests. Andromeda's Stall in Peddler's Port sells all the galactic-specific starter items. Andromeda's merchandise rotates every hour.

During character creation, galactic players can choose one antenna and one crest. They do not have to match.
