World-hopper! Don’t have long to write, but thought you might enjoy hearing about something that happened in rehearsals today. Our choreographer, in all his dubious wisdom, decided to make up a chorus line of dancers all packed together and put the clumsiest guy in the company at the very end. When the guy finally tripped, the whole line went down like a bunch of dominos, the orchestra playing their catchy tune all the while. Am giggling right now just thinking about it. Obviously I couldn’t laugh in front of my fellow dancers, but it was a real test of my acting skills to keep a straight face. Good thing I’m the best, or I really would’ve been in trouble, especially after they tried to get up while still tangled up in each other and all fell down again. Every single day of my life is an endless parade of ridiculousness. Must be grateful that I think these incidents are funny instead of frustrating. I do find myself getting annoyed at times, but it’s hard to take the little things in life too seriously when you realize just how silly everything is all the time. I guess it’s a matter of perspective. Someone else might get upset at the little disappointments of the day, but I’d much rather think of myself as someone living in a comedy than a drama. I only have the barest slivers of free time left. Right now I’m scrawling this down as I’m waiting to be fitted for my newest costu Oops! Forgot I started this letter last week. I think the props department interrupted me mid-sentence for a consultation on their backdrops, and I accidentally left the letter in a pile of artificial coral. I suppose I’ll have to find the time to sit down and really write something through. I can’t right now, since I’m bolting down dinner with one hand and writing with the other, but maybe I can step away from the cast party tonight and get some alone time. Dearest World-hopper, Am writing to you to ask one thing and one thing only: Have you seen Pyri’s new dress?? Sure, it looks exactly the same as the old one, just a little less tattered, but doesn’t she look so pretty in it? I mean, not that she didn’t look adorable before. Pyri’s beautiful in anything. I told her that, and she totally blushed (!!). Or, well, I think she was blushing? She wouldn’t let me look at her face. Pyri is so C U T E! Ahh, I’m really glad I can talk to you about these things.
