Clothing Diary

The Clothing Diary is used to preview almost every wearable item in Dappervolk, excluding custom clothing. It was released on March 26, 2024, and can be found under the World > Clothing Diary menu. Players can select a base skin upon which to preview an item, and a checkmark will be shown on the item thumbnail if the player has that item in their Wardrobe. Players can also use the Clothing Diary to directly launch a Trades Market search for a particular item.

Using the Clothing Diary

Upon opening the Clothing Diary, the player is presented with a Dappervolk avatar in a grey silhouette and a container with five tabs at the top, which correspond to clothing rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Seasonal, and Limited.

Filters

The "All Drawers" filter shows item categories when expanded.

When searching for a particular item of clothing to preview, the correct rarity tab at the top must be chosen; for instance, when searching for Prismatic Egg Friends, select the "Seasonal" tab. Players can then use the dropdown menus to refine the search as follows:

• Item Status (under the "All Items" dropdown): Owned, Not Owned, In Wardrobe, Not In Wardrobe, In Inventory, In Storage.
• Item Category (under the "All Drawers" dropwdown): search by item category/type.
• Free Text Search: search by a word or string.
• Stats Given (under the "Any Stats" dropdown: search by stats (or lack of any stats) given by the clothing item when worn.

If an item doesn't appear in the Clothing Diary, try searching in a different tab or by using the free text search field - sometimes items do not appear in the expected zones (for instance, many facial accessories are zoned as hats in order to appear above hair and eyes).

Previewing

Players can preview an item on different skins. At the time of writing, only one skin and one wearable item can be previewed on the avatar at any given time - for example, multiple items cannot be layered to preview a full outfit.

To preview an item, click on the thumbnail. To choose a different skin, select the "Skin" dropdown under the avatar preview. This will allow the player to select any non-custom skin in the game upon which to preview an item of clothing.

To save an image of the currently applied item and skin, click the "Save Image" button below the avatar preview. This will save as a .png file with a transparent background. The basic silhouette with no clothing previews can also be saved and used as a template for custom clothing item example renders, if necessary.

Searching the Trades Market

Players can click the magnifying glass icon on an item thumbnail to launch a search directly into the Trades Market for that item. It will search all types of lots, including auctions, trades, and sales, with the default sort value being "New to Old" (not "Lowest Price to Highest Price").
