Potatoes are Dappervolk's main currency. They can be used to buy items from the Trades Market or spin regular Chance Machines. Some daily quests require that you have a certain number of potatoes on hand.

Turnips are Dappervolk's premium currency. They can be used to spin Premium Chance Machines and buy exclusive pets and clothing. Turnips cannot be transferred between users, but items obtained using turnips may be traded and sold freely.


Earning Potatoes

Potatoes can be earned through various methods on the site, such as:

  • Completing Daily Quests, which give at least 200 potatoes every time one is successfully completed.
  • Collecting your Daily Bonus, as well as completing the Daily Potato Tasks.
  • Posting on the site's Forums, with more potatoes given out for longer posts. (Note that spam is not allowed).
  • Playing games in the Playground (limited to 5,000 a day or 7,000 for premium accounts).
  • Completing Main Quests and Side Quests.
  • Selling on the Trades Market.
  • Reaching certain affection milestones with NPCs.
  • Gifted through NPC birthday cards.
  • Reaching certain tiers in Events.
  • Selling a creative service in the Forums, such as drawing or writing.

Most of the methods above, except for selling on the Trades Market, have a limit of how many potatoes you can earn in a day.

Turnips can be earned through various methods on the site, such as:


Event Currency

Event currency can be obtained only during events and can be used to buy items from the event shops. Event currency is account-bound, meaning that it cannot be traded. It is removed from player's inventory and storage at the end of each event.

Trunks contain five of each currency.
