Daily Quests, also called Daily Errands, are randomized tasks given by NPCs that can be completed up to three times a day per NPC. There are generally three ways to complete daily errands:

  • Successful completion: Carry out the task as requested. Will yield positive affection Affection. with the NPC, potatoes, and pet food that corresponds to their personality.
  • Negative completion: Do something which the NPC dislikes, such as bringing the wrong item or saying the wrong thing. Will yield negative affection Dislike. with the NPC and a small potato reward (or no potatoes at all).
  • Cancellation: Cancelling the quest yields no positive or negative rewards but will still count towards the daily quest limit.

Items given away during daily errands will be lost. This doesn't apply to pets. For archival purposes, please refer to the old daily quest page.

Olievar's Daily Errands[]

Quest Information
Speak With Olievar
Prerequisites Main Quest: "The Seanaut"
Description "Help Olievar with their daily scientific endeavors."
Daily Limit 3
Full Transcript
  1. Olie is completely absorbed in their book, curled up in an armchair with their legs dangling off the side. They don't seem to notice when you walk into their terrarium, even after the loud thunk of the doors closing.
  2. Olievar: Apologies, but I'm in a little tied up with an experiment right now. I'll be with you in just a... Well, I wouldn't say a minuted, precisely. Most likely it'll be around two or three.
  3. Olie seems to be absorbed in a very messy experiment. Potted plants, books, and tablets sprawl over the floor in an unholy mess, piles stacked so tall that you just barely see Olie crouched among them.
  4. Olievar: World-hopper! What a nice surprise. I'm always so pleased to see you drop in. It's always nice to have visitors, after all.
  • Hey, Olie, how are you?
Give Olievar a Totem

Olievar: Have I told you about my latest experiment? It has to do with the totems you use to strengthen your pets. Curious things, aren't they? I'll need your help to learn more.

Bring Olievar a totem, one will do.

  • a) Sure, here's a totem from my stash! / I got you a totem!
    • Olievar: Very interesting. The implications... Oh, I couldn't possibly tell you before I have a proper working hypothesis, but I've been inspired.
    • Olievar seems more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) Let me see what I have.
    • Olievar: I'll admit that your pets baffle me. They don't seem to need food, yet they still eat, and... Where does it all go? Can they get sick? If you can turn some objects into pets, does that mean every object has that same potential for intelligence? The totems are just a start.
  • c) I sold my totems on the tradesmarket instead. (Added Trade 1/1 Times) (Completed Trade 1/1 Times)
    • Olievar: So you choose monetary return over the possibility of scientific gain... I suppose not everyone values knowledge the same way true scholars do.
    • Olievar seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • c) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Olievar: Not a problem at all, allow me to consider...
    • Wait patiently.
  • d) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Olievar: Don't worry about it, world-hopper. I really don't mean to trouble you, so if you ever have other priorities, simply just say the word and we'll re-plan for another time, hmm?
Alchemize One Item

Olievar: I've been dabbling in a smidge of magical research lately, and your ability to alchemize objects is particularly interesting. The implications are fascinating! You might have an entirely different branch of magic... I'd like to study it, if I may.

Olie wants to watch you alchemize any item. Once should be enough.

  • a) I'll work on it and come back.
    • Olievar: I wonder what determines your end product. Is there a sort of logic by which we can predict the result of potential alchemizations? How long do you think it'll take us to crack the code?
    • Olie wants to watch you alchemize any item. Once should be enough.
  • b) This is how I alchemize items! (Alchemized 1/1 Times)
    • Olievar: Most fascinating indeed! I'll need to observe more alchemizations to form a properly statistically significant sample, but this is an excellent start.
    • Olievar seems more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • c) I can alchemize something for you.
    • Olievar: Excellent! If you can alchemize an item in front of me, I'll be able to observe the process. I'd like to compare it to the impossible ancient enchantments I've come across in my research.
    • Olie wants to watch you alchemize any item. Once should be enough.
  • c) I accidentally fed everything to my pets instead. (Fed 2/2 Times)
    • Olievar: A miracle of modern magic, and you fed it to your pets? What a waste... I was looking forward to studying alchemization, too.
    • Olievar seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Olievar: Not a problem at all, allow me to consider...
    • Wait patiently.
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Olievar: Don't worry about it, world-hopper. I really don't mean to trouble you, so if you ever have other priorities, simply just say the word and we'll re-plan for another time, hmm?
Play Vaer Sea Forage Twice

Olievar: You've come at exactly the right time. I was just about to head out to collect some more vegetation samples, but I'm also so behind on my reading... Do you think you could go collect some plants for me?

Olievar wants you to collect some plants for research. Playing Sea Forage twice should get you what you need.

Play Vaer Sea Forage 2 times.

  • a) I'll come back with them later.
  • b) Here are your plants! (Played Game 2/2 Times)**Olievar: Oh, this will do very well indeed. I didn't even have to pause my experiments to retrieve new test subjects!
    • Olievar seems more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • c) Don't ruin the beauty of nature with your science! (Played Starry Night 2/2 Times)
    • Olievar: I hoped you'd understand that science enhances, not destroys, the mystery of nature. How could more knowledge be anything but a gift? I suppose you're not a kindred spirit after all.
    • Olievar seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Olievar: Not a problem at all, allow me to consider...
    • Wait patiently.
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Olievar: Don't worry about it, world-hopper. I really don't mean to trouble you, so if you ever have other priorities, simply just say the word and we'll re-plan for another time, hmm?
Give Olievar a Reflective Land Item

Olievar: One of the more frustrating things about living underwater is that I don't have access to anything from the surface. I can't travel back and forth like you can. Perhaps you'd be willing to help? I'm specifically looking for reflective material from the surface at the moment.

Olievar needs research materials from the surface. Something reflective from a land town should work.

  • a) Here's something shiny from the surface!
    • Olievar: Oh. Oh, yes, this will do quite nicely. Exactly what I needed for my experiment, and... it does bring up some pleasant memories.
    • Olievar seems more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I'll go see what I have.
    • Olievar: Occasionally, I'll have Wras or one of his crew bring me something... but their prices are so ridiculously high, and to be honest, I don't feel entirely comfortable dealing with them myself.
    • Olievar needs research materials from the surface. Something reflective from a land town should work.
  • c) Sure, why not?
    • Olievar: Some of my most interesting experiments have to do with comparing Vaer Reef to the surface, and they can be so difficult without proper material. I'd be much obliged if you could bring me anything reflective from up above.
    • Olievar needs research materials from the surface. Something reflective from a land town should work.
  • d) Here's something I got from your friends' shops.
    • Olievar: I just told you that I was looking for items from the surface! I could get stuff like this just by swimming down the street. Are you even listening to me?
    • Olievar seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Olievar: Not a problem at all, allow me to consider...
    • Wait patiently.
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest. (?)

Pyrifera's Daily Errands[]

Quest Information
Speak With Pyrifera
Prerequisites Main Quest: "Pyrifera's Route: The Healer"
Description "Help Pyrifera out at her Apothecary."
Daily Limit 3
Full Transcript
  1. Pyrifera: I used to try to greet every customer as they walked through the door. It... was awkward. And usually after hearing me mumble they left. Now I just stay quiet until they come to me.
  2. As you approach her, Pyri goes abruptly still, like a rabbit sensing a nearby predator. Her darting eyes scan the landscape until she sees you and relaxes.
  3. Pyrifera quietly sorts through her herbs, a peaceful silence blanketing the cramped quarters of her shop. Even the customers who walk in ease the door shut behind them, unwilling to disturb the store's calm.
  4. Pyrifera: World-hopper. I'm not sure what brings you to my shop, but I'll try to help. Even though I probably won't be very useful.
  • Hello Pyri, can I help you with something?
Give Pyrifera a Plant

Pyrifera: Clione convinced me to start a plant drive for the apothercary... Medicinal herbs grow all over Vaer Reef, so anyone who sees them can pick some and bring them in.

Pyrifera wants you to bring her herbs or plants for the apothecary. One type of plant should do for now.

Pyrifera: There are medical uses for all sorts of plants. Even weeds can be helpful. People don't usually think about it because it's so much trouble to prepare them, but... I'll make do with what I can.

  • a) Are these plants okay?
    • Pyrifera: Thanks. I'm still a little embarrassed about having to ask for help. But it's nice when... someone responds.
    • Pyrifera seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,800 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) Let me go look around.
    • Pyrifera: Clione convinced me to start a plant drive for the apothecary... Medicinal herbs grow all over Vaer Reef, so anyone who sees them can pick some and bring them in.
    • Pyrifera wants you to bring her herbs or plants for the apothecary. One type of plant should do for now.
  • c) I might be able to help.
    • Pyrifera: There are medical uses for all sorts of plants. Even weeds can be helpful. People don't usually think about it because it's so much trouble to prepare them, but... I'll make do with what I can.
    • Pyrifera wants you to bring her herbs or plants for the apothecary. One type of plant should do for now.
  • d) Instead of herbs, how about sweets to cheer people up?
    • Pyrifera: World-hopper, I can't support this. Sweets are terrible for you. Stuffing my patients with food that has essentially no nutrition... might actually make them worse.
    • Pyrifera seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Pyrifera: Of course, it was presumptuous of me to give you orders. Let me think...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Pyrifera: Ah... sorry. I may have asked for too much. You don't need to do anything. Really.
Alchemize One Item

Pyrifera: Your magic is like nothing I've ever seen before... It's powerful. Practicing would be a good idea. Just to make sure it's under your control.

Pyri wants to see you alchemize an item.

Pyri looks up as you walk back into the store, choosing to acknowledge you with a nod instead of asking you if you've alchemized an item yet.

  • a) I alchemized an item for you. (Alchemized 1/1 Times)
    • Pyrifera: That's amazing. I wonder what else you could alchemize...
    • Pyrifera seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) That does sound like a good idea.
    • Pyrifera: You can make items, can't you? If more people could turn ordinary things into something rare and precious so easily, maybe we'd live in a world without scarcity. I'll admit... I want to see it.
  • c) I'll show you in a second.
  • d) Do you need something? Have some potatoes.
    • Pyrifera: I wasn't trying to get you to give me anything! You shouldn't waste your charity on me.
Really.
Complete a Daily Quest for Clione

Pyrifera: I wonder how Clione's doing. I'd visit her, but... it takes me a while to gather up the courage to go to her side of town. I stand out, and it's uncomfortable.

Pyrifera wants you to go help Clione with something. Doing a quest for her should make them both happy.

  • a) I'll tell you how it went later.
    • Pyrifera: I wonder what she's doing right now. She might be talking to her choreographer. Maybe she's practicing. She's always so happy when she's dancing, and her smile... Ah. Sorry. Pretend you didn't hear anything, please.
  • b) Maybe I could go see her.
    • Pyrifera: Really? Do you think you could help her out a little? She's always so busy. Clione's the first person to dismiss what she does, but she works so hard.
  • c) I helped Clione! (Quested 1/1 Times)
    • Pyrifera: Good! Just the thought that someone was able to take on even one of her burdens... it puts me at ease.
    • Pyrifera seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,800 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • d) I think I made her angry. (Decreased 3/3 Times)
    • Pyrifera: Clione seems like she's invincible, but she gets hurt just like anyone else. If you upset her on purpose... I won't forgive you.
    • Pyrifera seems a bit more upset with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Pyrifera: Of course, it was presumptuous of me to give you orders. Let me think...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Pyrifera: Ah... sorry. I may have asked for too much. You don't need to do anything. Really.
Play Vaer Sea Forage Twice

Pyrifera: I'm running low on medicinal herbs today... People have been catching salmonpox lately, so I have more customers than usual. I don't even have time to go foraging.

Pyri needs you to get her some medicinal sea herbs. If you play Vaer Sea Forage twice, that should give you enough.

  • b) I'll come back later.
  • c) I can get some more herbs for you.
    • Pyrifera: Really? You don't have to... But if you have time, it would be helpful if you could go foraging for me. I'd do it myself, but there are more customers coming in later.
Really.

Pyrifera: I usually keep enough herbs in store for a regular amount of customers, but I can't keep too much. They go bad too quickly, and there are too few wild herbs in Vaer Reef for me to waste them on a stockpile.

Pyri needs you to get her some medicinal sea herbs. If you play Vaer Sea Forage twice, that should give you enough.

  • a) I got the herbs you needed. (Played Game 2/2 Times)
    • Pyrifera: My customers will be grateful... and I am, too. Now I won't have to turn anyone away.
    • Pyrifera seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I'll come back later.
  • c) I can get some more herbs for you.
    • Pyrifera: Really? You don't have to... But if you have time, it would be helpful if you could go foraging for me. I'd do it myself, but there are more customers coming in later.
  • d) You can sell these pretty rocks to make up for lost revenue. (Played Game 2/2 Times)
    • Pyrifera: I don't care about the revenue, and i don't need these rocks. People need these herbs! It doesn't matter if i enrich myself if they're still suffering.
Really.

Clione's Daily Errands[]

Quest Information
Speak With Clione
Prerequisites Main Quest: "Clione's Route: The Dancer"
Description "Help Clione out with her wishes."
Daily Limit 3
Full Transcript
  1. Clione: One, two, three, one, two, three... It can be hard to practice a dance without music, but I've gotten used to counting off the beat myself.
  2. Clione: So lovely to see you today! What beautiful clothes you're wearing...! Oh, wait, it's just you. I thought you were fan for a second.
  3. Clione is practicing the steps of a dance. She does a somersault, doesn't stop spinning for almost a full minute, and isn't even a little bit dizzy when she stops.
  • Hello Clione...
Increase Pet Affection by Five

Clione: If my years as a dancer has taught me anything, it's this - no performance is worth anything without an audience! Make sure to treat your fans well if you want them to keep supporting you. Let me show you how.

  • a) Okay, I've got time.
    • Clione: You're not a performer, so you don't have like, literal fans, but the same theory applies to your pets, doesn't it? They may be your followers, but it's your responsibility to support them back.
  • b) I'll come back to this in a second.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Clione: Really? Can't be helped I guess, let me see...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Clione wants you to keep up a positive relationship with your pets. Increasing their affection by 5 should do it.

Clione: I don't love interacting with fans all the time, but it's still my side of the bargain, if that makes sense. A little awkwardness is a small price to pay for enduring support.

Clione wants you to keep up a positive relationship with your pets. Increasing their affection by 5 should do it.

  • a) My pets are much happier with me now. (Raised Affection 5/5 Times)
    • Clione: That's what I like to see! If you treat people right, they'll follow you to the ends of the earth. Or, in my case, to avant-garde experimental dance showcases.
    • Clione seems a bit more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I'll come back to this in a second.
  • c) This is boring. I went adventuring instead. (Riddled 2/2 Times)
    • Clione: Are you even listening to me? Vaer's sake, you're so irresponsible.
    • Clione seems a little more disappointed with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Clione: Really? Can't be helped I guess, let me see...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Spin Pyrifera's Chance Machine Once

Clione: Hey, world-hopper! I have a mission for you. Will you go spin Pyri's chance shop for me?

Clione wants you to spend potatoes at Pyrifera's store. Spinning her chance machine once should be enough.

If Pyrifera's shop is unlocked:

  • a) I'll go over in a second.
    • Clione: I wish I could just donate something to her, but Pyri doesn't like taking money from me. Sometimes I'll hang around her shop and clear her customers' debts, but I have to do that in secret.
    • Clione wants you to spend potatoes at Pyrifera's store. Spinning her chance machine once should be enough.
  • b) Sure, I guess.
    • Clione: Yes! I usually try to shop at her place as much as possible, but Pyri doesn't like me spending too much money on her.
    • Clione wants you to spend potatoes at Pyrifera's store. Spinning her chance machine once should be enough.
  • c) I shopped at Pyrifera's shop a whole lot! (Gacha'd 3/3 Times)
    • Clione: Wow, are you a high roller or just extra altruistic? That's great though, I'm glad you believe in Pyri's cause as much as I do.
    • Clione seems very pleased with you.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 2,000 Potatoes., +9 Affection.
  • d) Alright, I shopped at Pyri's store! (Gacha'd 1/1 Times)
    • Clione: Oh, thank you! Pyri does such good work, and I want to support it as much as possible. It feels good knowing that your potatoes are probably going directly towards helping someone get better, doesn't it?
    • Clione seems quite pleased with you.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,800 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • e) No way, I'd rather pay you 500 spuds to go help her yourself!
    • −500 Potatoes.
    • Clione: Um, I don't know if you've noticed, but I have plenty of money already. I don't need any from you... Helping out Pyri helps everyone in her neighborhood. Giving spuds to me helps literally nobody.
    • Clione seems more displeased with you now.
    • 500 Potatoes. -7 Dislike.
  • f) She hasn't let me into her shop yet, so I helped her with an errand instead. (Quested 1/1 Times)
    • Clione: Oh, good! I'm sure Pyri will trust you enough to open her shop to you in no time.
    • Clione seems quite pleased with you.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • g) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Clione: Really? Can't be helped I guess, let me see...
  • h) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Equip Five or More Items from Clione and/or Pyrifera's Chance Machines

Clione: World-hopper, I'm going to be completely honest here. There's no way I can be seen with you unless you change your clothes.

Clione wants you to adapt your style to Vaer Reef fashion. Five or more items from her or Pyri's shops should be good enough.

  • a) Uh, sure, I guess...
    • Clione: I mean, your outfit is probably fine for anywhere else, but we're standing in the nicest part of Vaer Reef! If you don't want people to look at you weirdly, you're gonna have to change.
  • b) Let me take a look at my closet first.
  • c) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Clione: Really? Can't be helped I guess, let me see...
  • d) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Clione: Look, I'm not an expert on fashion or anything, but I've had stylists for long enough that I know how to fit in. Having your own vibe is nice and all, but people treat you so much better when you look good.

Clione wants you to adapt your style to Vaer Reef fashion. Five or more items from her or Pyri's shops should be good enough.

  • a) Does this look okay? (Dressed 1/1 Times)
    • Clione: That's more like it! I knew you'd bring out your charms if you just made a bit of an effort. Ooh, do a spin, I want to see the full effect!
    • Clione seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.

Increase Affection with Pyrifera by Three

Clione: Have you been to see Pyri lately? I know it's a little hard to get to know her sometimes, but she's a really great friend. You just have to put in a little work to get her to feel comfortable with you.

Clione wants you to bond with Pyrifera. Increasing your affection with her by 3 should be enough.

  • a) Sure, I can go visit her.
    • Clione: Sometimes I wish I could get the whole world to appreciate Pyri... Except then she'd get overwhelmed by all the attention, so maybe not.
  • b) I'll go talk to her in a bit.
    • Clione: If you want Pyri to trust you, you have to prove that you're trustworthy first. She's very discerning like that. It's one of the things I like best about her.
  • c) I think I'm better friends with Pyri now. (Increased 3/3 Times)
    • Clione: Ahh, it's so great when my friends are friends! Pyri's the best, isn't she?
    • Clione looks a little more pleased with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • d) Pyri hates me now! (Decreased 3/3 Times)
    • Clione: Seriously? Pyri doesn't get offended easily, so you must've done something really tactless. Or maybe just straight up mean? Whatever it is, if you're going to act like that, maybe you should just stay away from her.
    • Clione looks very displeased with you.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Clione: Really? Can't be helped I guess, let me see...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

  1. World-hopper! Are you coming back from another adventure? I wish I could go battle sea beasts or party with pirates or whatever it is you spend all your time doing.
  2. Poe is very absorbed in poking a sea anemone with a stick. She seems a little wary of it, but after a while she gathers her courage enough to stroke its tentacles with her hand.
  3. Poe: World-hopper! It's you! Or, well, I guess it could be an impostor. Which is just as good, actually. I've never met an impostor before!
  4. Poe: I have homework to do today... What's the point of homework, anyway? I already work all the time in school. Now I have to do extra? Not fair!
  • Hi Poe, what's up?
Spin Poe's Chance Machine Once

Poe: Hey, world-hopper... I maybe kind of spent all my allowance already. I know Dad just gave it to me yesterday, but the market was selling this really cool new action figure, and what was I supposed to do, not buy it? I won't get any more allowance until next month, but I still have my shop! If you get something from me, I'll have enough potatoes for me to still buy snacks tomorrow.

It looks like Poe needs you to shop at her store for a little more spending money. Once should be enough.

  • a) I'll browse your store.
    • Poe: Yes! I have tons of stuff for sale. Sure, they're mostly hand-me-downs and things I picked up from the ground, but they're still good!
  • b) I'll buy something a bit later...
  • c) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • d) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Poe: I usually try to pace myself so I have enough money for the whole month, but... Sometimes I see something that I really, really want.

It looks like Poe needs you to shop at her store for a little more spending money. Once should be enough.

  • a) I got a lot of stuff from your store! (Gacha'd 3/3 Times)
    • Poe: Wow!! You bought so much! That is very impressive... This will help me get... 1... 2... a lot more snacks than usual!! Thank you very much.
    • Poe seems friendlier towards you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +8 Affection.
  • b) I got something from your store! (Gacha'd 1/1 Times)
    • Poe: Thanks! I don't know what I'd do without you. If you didn't help me, I wouldn't have any snack money, and that's... it's unthinkable.
    • Poe seems friendlier towards you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +3 Affection.
  • c) I'll buy something a bit later...
  • d) I bought from the tradesmarket instead. (Completed Trade 1/1 Times)
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Solve Two Adventuring Riddles

Poe: What are you doing right now? Where are you going? Is it somewhere exciting? Are you ready for adventure?

Poe wants stories from your adventures. If you go adventuring and solve at least two riddles, you'll have something to tell her.

  • a) Sure, I just have to do a couple other things first...
  • b) I guess I am.
    • Poe: That's so cool! You're gonna have to tell me all about it when you come back.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Poe: I'm so bored! I'd go adventuring myself, but I'm not allowed. You're just gonna have to adventure for the both of us, okay?

Poe wants stories from your adventures. If you go adventuring and solve at least two riddles, you'll have something to tell her.

  • a) I'm back from my adventures! (Riddled 2/2 Times)
    • Poe listens intently to your latest escapades with wide eyes.
    • Poe: Oh, wow... That's amazing! I definitely want to be like you someday.
    • Poe seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +1-3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I guess I am.
    • Poe: That's so cool! You're gonna have to tell me all about it when you come back.
  • c) I just stayed at home today with my pet. (Fed 2/2 Times)
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Interact Twice with Your Pet

Poe: Your pets are so cute! I wonder if they can do tricks. Have you taught them any? Can I see?

Poe wants to see you play with your pet. Interacting with them twice should be enough.

  • a) Wait just a second...
  • b) Sure you can.
    • Poe: I'm excited to see what your pet can do! Even if it doesn't work out and they mess up, that just makes them even cuter.
  • c) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • d) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Poe: Can you make your pet dance? Or roll over? Ooh, what if they balanced a knife on their nose? That would be awesome.

Poe wants to see you play with your pet. Interacting with them twice should be enough.

  • a) Does this count as a trick to you? (Interacted 2/2 Times)
    • Poe: That. Was. The cutest thing ever! I feel like I've been blessed by Vaer just seeing it.
    • Poe seems pleased with you.
    • +1-3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) Sure you can.
    • Poe: I'm excited to see what your pet can do! Even if it doesn't work out and they mess up, that just makes them even cuter.
  • c) All I do with my pets is take them foraging. (Played Game 2/2 Times)
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Give Poe a Dessert

Poe: World-hopper... Ever since I was a little kid, I've had the same dream, being the first person to have tasted all the different kinds of candy in the entire world! 'Course, that's a little hard to accomplish when you can't even get to half the world 'cause it's above water. And when you only have allowance money instead of being super rich. If I'm gonna achieve my ultimate goal, I'll need your help.

It looks like Poe wants you to get her some candy. She's not very picky about it, so any kind of sweets should do.

  • a) Here's your dessert.
    • Poe: This is exactly what I needed! Mom's gonna say I ruined my appetite for dinner, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
    • Poe seems friendlier with you now.
    • 2-3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I'll be right back.
  • c) I guess I can bring you some candy.
    • Poe: Yes! I knew I could count on you.
  • c) Wouldn't you like some healthy vegetables instead?
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Poe: Really? Well, okay then! Let me see...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Description "Help Wras with his daily shenanigans."
Daily Limit 3
Full Transcript
  1. Wras: Bored of everything else in Vaer Reef yet? I don't blame ya. I feel the same way! If we want some excitement, we gotta make it ourselves.
  2. Wras is hosting what seems like a raucous party with the other members of his crew. He's telling a story to a group of crewmembers who are hanging off his every word, but when he sees you he abandons them to come over.
  3. Wras is playing a game that involves his crewmembers lined up, throwing knives at him. With perfect aim and precision, he intercepts each knife with one of his own, knocking them away.
  • What's going on, Wras?
Spin Wras' Chance Machine Once

Wras: Have you seen my shop yet? I'll admit that the fanciest things we nab from surface ships go to our, ah, more discerning buyers, but... there's always a few little trinkets left for the store.

Wras wants you to spin his chance machine at his store. Once should be enough.

If Wras' Shop is Unlocked:

  • a) I'll go in a sec.
  • b) I'll check it out.
    • Wras: All proceeds go to a good cause - me. Hey, if you're really, really lucky, you might even get a totem for your pet! That would be nice, wouldn't it? Think about it.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Wras: You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Well then, eeny meeny miney...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Wras: Fine! I don't need you, anyway. I've got a whole crew of suckers who can do anything you can and more!

Wras: Your contribution keeps me in nice lunches and my signature awesome clothes. It's hard to be this stylish without a constant influx of cash, you know.

Wras wants you to spin his chance machine at his store. Once should be enough.

  • a) I spun your chance machine a whole bunch! (Gacha'd 3/3 Times)
    • Wras: Now that's what I'm talking about, real pirate behaviour! Gyahahaha!
    • Wras seems more impressed with you now.
    • +5 Candied Shells, +9 Affection.
  • b) I spun your chance machine! (Gacha'd 1/1 Times)
    • Wras: Nice doing business with ya, kid. Especially when I come out richer! Gyahaha!
    • Wras seems a little more impressed with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,500 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • c) Hmph, I already have all the things I could ever want. (Equipped 25 pieces of clothing)
    • Wras: What a stingy world-hopper.
    • Wras seems more angry with you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) I'm not up for shopping right now.
    • Wras: Fine! I don't need you, anyway. I've got a whole crew of suckers who can do anything you can and more!
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Wras: You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Well then, eeny meeny miney...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Wras: Fine! I don't need you, anyway. I've got a whole crew of suckers who can do anything you can and more!

If Wras' shop is Locked:

  • a) I don't know where your shop is...
    • Wras: No sense of direction, huh? Well, scram if you're not going to be useful.
      • Wait, I can still be useful...
        • Perform a different task (assigned at random from the other three)
      • Scram.
  • b) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Wras: You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Well then, eeny meeny miney...
  • c) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Wras: Fine! I don't need you, anyway. I've got a whole crew of suckers who can do anything you can and more!
Give Wras a Weapon

Wras: You know what the difference is between a winner and a loser? Half the time it's not strength, or skill, or even strategy. It's luck and preparation. If you help me get the right equipment, we'll make my crew unbeatable.

Wras needs weapons and tools for his crew. Just one should be enough.

Get Wras a weapon of some kind.

  • a) I'll go grab something.
    • Wras: Last time I had to go up against three guys with nothing to defend me but half a kelpwich. I'm never doing that again.
  • b) I'm ready to help!
    • Wras: That's what I like to hear! I've had to pull off a few wins with improvised weapons before, but, let me tell you, it's not pretty. Much easier to win with real spears and shields instead of broom handles and pot lids.
  • c) Here's a weapon for you!
    • Wras: Not bad, kid! I could definitely see myself using this to win a couple duels.
    • Wras seems a little more impressed with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 2,000 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • d) You mean a dessert, right? I've got one right here!
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Wras: You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Well then, eeny meeny miney...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
    • Wras: Fine! I don't need you, anyway. I've got a whole crew of suckers who can do anything you can and more!
Give Wras 300 Potatoes

Wras: You know what? Forget errands. Nothing helps a pirate out like cold, hard cash. Got anything to contribute to the cause?

Wras wants you to contribute to the piratical cause. 300 potatoes should be enough.

  • a) Here's one thousand potatoes! I love pirates!
    • Wras: Gyahaha, really now? What a chump- I mean, very much appreciated, world-hopper!
    • Wras seems a bit more trusting of you now.
    • +4 Candied Shells, +8 Affection.
  • b) Here's some money.
    • Wras: Wow, really? That was too easy, hah. Your "investment" is much appreciated, world-hopper.
    • Wras seems a bit more trusting of you now.
    • +4 Candied Shells, +7 Affection.
  • c) Maybe later.
  • d) Sure.
    • Wras: See, world-hopper, I'm a simple man, I like money. I like haveing it, and I like taking it from other people. GIve me cash, and I'll be happy. Consider it a donation, if you want.
  • e) I just donated to Xarion. (Gacha'd 1/1 Times)
    • -7 Dislike.
  • f) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Wras: You're lucky I'm in a good mood today. Well then, eeny meeny miney...
  • g) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Solve Two Adventuring Riddles

Wras: What have you been up to lately? Let me guess - wandering around, doing grocery trips for lazy losers? Boring! Get some excitement in your life, why don't you?

Wras wants you to go adventuring and bring back secrets. Encountering 2 riddles should be enough.

Answer 2 Adventuring riddles.

  • a) I'll be right back!
    • Wras: The best places to adventure are the places you're not supposed to be. If there's anywhere labeled "forbidden" or "dreaded" or my favorite, "cursed," I'm there.
    • Wras wants you to go adventuring and bring back secrets. Encountering 2 riddles should be enough.
  • b) Excitement sounds fun.
    • Wras: Quit sitting around in town, and go out! Adventure! Get into all the forbidden, secret places in the wilderness. You never know what you might find... but I will, because you'll tell me all about it, won't you?
    • Wras wants you to go adventuring and bring back secrets. Encountering 2 riddles should be enough.
  • a) I have some stories for you. (Riddled 2/2 Times)
    • Wras: Very interesting. You're pretty good at finding things out, huh? I'll have to keep that in mind.
    • Wras seems a little more impressed with you now.

  • c) I'm busy helping out at the courthouse. (Quested 1/1 Times)

  1. Xarion: World-hopper. I trust you didn't meet with any trouble on your way here? If there's anything that you think ought to be addressed, you may make a report with the front desk downstairs.
  2. Xarion acknowledges you with a nod, waiting for you to state your business first. Leaning back in his chair, his hands steepled together, he seems almost too intimidating to approach.
  3. Xarion: My secretary calls me a workaholic. I... cannot dispute her characterization. She may have caught me sleeping in my office again instead of going home.
  4. Xarion doesn't look up when you peek into his office. He's focused intently on his work, reading through reports with that telltale furrow of stress in his brow.
  • Wander in and ask if he needs help with anything.
Alchemize One Item

Xarion: One of my most vexing problems is the issue of waste disposal in Vaer Reef. It's hard to deal with garbage when most of it can just float back onto the streets. Do you think you could help?

Xarion wants you to alchemize an item. Once should be enough.

  • a) I'll do that in a sec.
  • b) Sure I can!
    • Xarion: Your ability to alchemize items could be just what we need! Combining several useless items into a single valuable one catches two minnows with one net, as the saying goes.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Xarion: I suppose you can, allow me to consider...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Xarion: To be completely honest, many of the crimes that my office deals with are garbage code violations. Illegal disposal, illicit waste manufacture, inappropriate trashcan usage... I've seen it all.

Xarion wants you to alchemize an item. Once should be enough.

  • a) I alchemized something! (Alchemized 1/1 Times)
    • Xarion: Good! Your alchemizing is even better than our recycling facilities. If only we had enough of you for a full sanitation plant...
    • Xarion seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • b) I'll do that in a sec.
  • c)Sure I can!
    • Xarion: Your ability to alchemize items could be just what we need! Combining several useless items into a single valuable one catches two minnows with one net, as the saying goes.
  • d) I want more stuff, not less! (Gacha'd 2/2 Times)
    • Xarion: Are you serious? This is exactly why we have the problems we do in Vaer Reef! Consuming items for no purpose other than to own things... it's selfish beyond belief!
    • Xarion seems a little more angry at you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Xarion: I suppose you can, allow me to consider...
  • f) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.
Interact Thrice with Your Pet

Xarion: The flip side of power is always the obligation to use it wisely. If you have the ability to affect someone or something, you must make sure that you wield it to make positive change. Shall I explain more?

Xarion wants you to care for your pets. Interacting with them three times should be enough.

  • a) I'll get right to it.
    • Xarion: Your pets may not be as alive as you or I, but they do seem to have some sort of intelligence. They need you, just as much as any other dependent. It's your duty to keep them happy and safe.
  • b) Sure, I'd like to know.
    • Xarion: The foremost task of any leader is to take care of their subordinates. For me, it's ensuring the safety, personal and professional development of my deputies and fellow priests. For you, it may be caring for your pets.
  • c) I took care of my pets! (Interacted 3/3 Times)
    • Xarion: Good. Carelessness can do just as much harm as malice. It's our responsibility to pay attention to the ones who need us, and to do as much as we can to help them.
    • Xarion seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • d) I'd rather go play instead. (Played Game 2/2 Times)
    • Xarion: Someone who acts like you do doesn't deserve your pets' devotion. You can't just keep ignoring them for your own selfish whims.
    • Xarion seems a little more angry at you now.
    • -7 Dislike.
  • e) Can I help you with something else instead?

Complete Daily Quests from Two Other NPCs

Xarion: It's always important to balance the needs of everyone in Vaer Reef. We're a community, and all of us are dependent on each other, so it is our civic duty to do what we can to help each other. Even though you are under no obligation to lend a hand as a visitor here, some of the townsfolk would undoubtedly appreciate the extra help.

Xarion would like you to help 2 different citizens of Vaer Reef with their daily errands, earning a total of 3 affection from each.

  • a) I'll be right back...
    • So you've returned. How did it go? As a judge, my duty is to ensure not only justice, but harmony as well. I want to give the residents of this city not only safety, but the chance to thrive, to heal, to make their own happiness undisturbed. It's not an easy undertaking, but we must all do our part.
  • b) I helped two townspeople! (Increased 3/3 Times) (Increased 3/3 Times)
    • Xarion: Thank you for going out of your way to help the community. When I barely have any time to see the outside of a courthouse, it's been hard to find opportunities to help carry someone's groceries or babysit their child. Your efforts are much appreciated.
    • Xarion seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.
  • c) I helped out Wras! (Increased 3/3 Times)
    • Xarion: When I told you to help others, I meant for you to strengthen the fabric of our society. To make a positive impact on the city, however small. Helping Wras only makes it easier for him to hurt other people.
    • Xarion seems a little more angry at you now.
    • -7 Dislike.

Set Up and Complete a Trade

Xarion: Vaer Reef's economy isn't directly under my purview, but that doesn't mean I don't worry about it, anyway. I have some ideas on how to keep our economy healthy, if you'd like to assist.

Xarion wants you to set up and complete a trade. Just once should be enough.

  • a) I'll get right to it.
  • b) Sure, what do you need?
    • Xarion: One of the most important aspects of a healthy economy is activity! If you set up a trade, that creates a knock-on effect where the person you trade with can conduct trades of their own, and so on and so forth.
  • c) I don't want to spend money. Going outside is free. (Riddled 2/2 Times)
    • -7 Dislike.
  • d) Can I help you with something else instead?
    • Xarion: I suppose you can, allow me to consider...
  • e) Nevermind, I want to give up on this quest.

Xarion: Goods and potatoes won't help anyone if they're hoarded up in a bank vault. I make sure that the rich of Vaer Reef pay their dues in taxes so that we can give back to the poor as much as possible, but sometimes that just doesn't feel like enough.

  • a) I finished a trade! (Added Trade 1/1 Times) (Completed Trade 1/1 Times)
    • Xarion: Good! I'm always happy to encourage commerce in the city.
    • Xarion seems a little friendlier with you now.
    • +3 Candied Shells, 1,700 Potatoes., +7 Affection.

Strategy[]

There are certain strategies you can take on to make completing daily quests as efficient as possible. If you're having a hard time developing your own, here are a few tips!

Essential Tactics[]

Xarion will often ask you to complete daily errands for two other Vaer Reef inhabitants, so start with him first. Wras cannot be used to positively fulfill this Xarion errand (he can only be used to neg Xarion), so your options for this particular quest completion are Olievar, Poe, Pyrifera, and Clione.

There is currently a potential quest loop between Pyrifera and Clione, where Clione will ask you to do a Pyrifera quest, and the Pyrifera quest turns out to be "helping Clione." In this instance, you can either refuse both quests, or refuse only Clione's - this will count as a fulfillment for Pyrifera. (It does not work the other way around: refusing Pyrifera's quest won't fulfill Clione's.)

You can gain +8 Affection. with Wras by donating 1,000 Potatoes. to his piratical cause instead of 300 Potatoes.. Therefore, a good rule of thumb is to always have at least 3,000 Potatoes. on hand when doing errands for Wras.

Stacking Similar Quests[]

Clione and Poe both ask you to increase your pet's affection, so if you can manage to stack those quests, a good errand path is Xarion > Clione + Poe.

Additionally, both Olievar and Pyrifera ask you to alchemize an item, making an equally efficient path consist of Xarion > Olievar + Pyrifera.

Wras and Poe will both ask you to complete Adventuring riddles, so stacking these two quests to avoid as much riddling as possible is a great option! Since Wras cannot be used to fulfill Xarion's quest, avoid the path of Xarion > Wras + Poe unless negging Xarion.
