Dappervolk Wiki Policy
Although the wiki isn't an official extension of the site, we ask that you follow the rules of conduct of Dappervolk.com while editing and interacting with the community.
Just as on the official site, posting content surrounding "leaked" or "mined" information that has yet to be discovered through normal gameplay or released to the public through official Dappervolk channels is strictly prohibited and will be removed.
The following are rules for contributors and users of the Dappervolk Wiki. Please note that these rules are not entirely exhaustive, and may not encompass or address all manner of offensive behavior that may require moderating.
- Be respectful. Do not belittle, demean, offend, or otherwise unsettle other users through any means.
- Be kind. Do not transmit ideas/view/imagery that is discriminatory of any race, nation, or culture, any aspect or variation of sexual orientation or gender identity, any religions or religious figures, any physical or mental disabilities, any caste, any age, etc.
- Do not engage in excessive self-promotion. The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand, not a free place to advertise your related content or links. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an administrator!
- Contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an administrator or fellow community member!
- Encourage the free flow of ideas and discussion while maintaining a civil, constructive, and creative space.
- Users may be blocked on this wiki for the following reasons:
- Recurring vandalism or spamming
- Deliberately misgendering (i.e. using the wrong pronouns) and otherwise disrespecting people's stated facts about their person and identity.
- Recurring harassment, including hounding, personal or legal threats, posting of personal information, repeated messaging and ignoring their request to be left alone
- Continual edit warring
- Making a personal attack on another user
- Sockpuppetry
- Asking other users personal information such as age, location, etc.
Blocks will begin at 24 hours and will increase depending on the number of offenses and type of offense. If you feel you have been blocked unfairly, you can reach out to an administrator on their message wall.

How Can I Help?
All regular pages can be edited. If you notice false or missing information, a typo or a missing image, that might be a good place to start!
Editing Pages
To edit a page, create a Fandom account and click the "edit" button at the upper right of any page. See "Editing Help" at the next section for further guidance.
A great place to start is by looking for pages with the "Incomplete" notice. Pages with the notice "This page is incomplete" have a notable amount of missing information or need testing to verify existing information. A list of these pages can be viewed here.
Creating Pages
Before creating a new page, look at recent pages of the same kind and see how they are made. This creates an uniform experience across the wiki.
The best way to know what pages are needed is by going to the page of wanted pages. Click on one of the red links to create it.
New pages can also be created by clicking "add" in the upper-right corner of the Dappervolk wiki banner. Suggestions will be randomized from wanted pages.
Adding Images
When uploading an image, make sure that it has been found through normal gameplay. "Leaked" or "mined" images will be removed.
Dappervolk Wiki's image conventions for new files can be found on the Wiki Mini-Guide.
Some pages will have placeholder images, meaning that the editor didn't have access to the real one. These are sure to be in need of an update. There are different placeholder images for different purposes. By looking at these pages, you can see where they are currently in use:
- File:Clothing Item Placeholder Fullbody.png - Clothing Item Placeholder (Fullbody)
- File:Missing-thumbnail.png - Thumbnail Placeholder
- File:Evolution placeholder.png - Pet Evolution Placeholder
Editing Help
To edit a page, create a Fandom account and click the "edit" button at the upper right of any page. This will open the "visual editor". What you see is very close to what you get. When finished editing a page, click "save page".
Fandom's Community Central covers this and much more in terms of editing and managing your account. Be sure to check it out if you feel lost. A great place to start is Fandom University.
For more advanced users, the source editor can be entered through the drop-down menu left of the cancel button while editing. The source editor's main markup language is wikitext. Previous coding experience is not needed for most customization options.
Wiki standards, useful templates, and notes made by our editors can be found collected at the Wiki Mini-Guide.
Pathway to Administrator Rights
As stated by Fandom, communities must have a straightforward way for good faith users to be put forward and chosen by the community to become an admin, moderator, or other position on the wiki. Here is Dappervolk Wiki's existing "pathway to admin."
- Only users who have been actively editing on the wiki for one year or more are eligible. "Actively editing" is defined as at least 100 quality edits (as approved by the admin team) in the past 365 days.
- Any user can nominate another user. A user cannot nominate themselves.
- Users who have been previously blocked in the past may be automatically rejected for consideration. Nominations are approved by the admin team.
- Nominations should be done via a Discussion post (not a poll).
- The community will be allowed to discuss the nomination, and the nominated user must get at least three votes in support of their recommendation.
- Community-nominated administrators will be asked to go up for re-election after six months. After two subsequent approvals (i.e., after one and a half years of active administratorship), the community-nominated administrator will no longer need to seek re-election.
