Item Alchemy

Item Alchemy is the practice of combining five items to form a new one. It is done through the strange bubbling cauldron, which can be found in the Item Alchemy section of the account tab. When items are combined, they will be permanently destroyed and cannot be reclaimed in any way.

• Combining five identical pieces of NPC clothing will yield an alchemy variant, except Rare NPC clothing.
• Limited items lack alchemy variants and only certain items can be improved more than once.

Five identical items that are not clothing items will nearly always yield a randomized result. When an item can yield a result, the item description will almost always say "Try alchemizing 5 of these together" or some variant of that statement.

  WHEN USING THE WIKI OR CREATING AN ITEM WITHOUT A RECIPE, USERS ARE ADVISED TO DOUBLE CHECK THE RECIPE BEFORE ALCHEMIZING.

Recipe Scrolls

If you would like to unlock the recipe before alchemizing an item, you can buy the Item Recipe scroll for that item. (Unlocking the recipe before alchemizing adds the recipe to your recipe book before you alchemize, reducing the chance of errors.) Item Recipes are gathered exclusively from the Officiator's Record Office in exchange for Record Tokens.

Mixer Potion Alchemy

Mixer Potions can be used to create new versions of certain Adventuring items or Nico items. They are also used to combine some seasonal shard totems into hatching items. See the complete list here.
