Johaness is a toy maker and shop owner in Aviar Cove. He owns Artisan Sailing Crafts, a toy shop focusing on ship-related crafts.
He dreams of building his own ship and explore the seas just like his family. Carneau, the mayor, has put this dream to a halt for the time being, refusing to grant him a docking permit.
The shop doesn't see many customers, so Johaness frequently walks off to leave the shop unattended while he collects seashells for his crafts or looks at the giant trading ships.
Background
When his grandpa retired and went off on vacation to sail the world, he inherited his shop. Both of his parents are also absent, working as professional seafaring explorers, so he lives on his own despite his very young age.
Personality
Johaness is a young child, so he is very devoted to his interests and will often neglect his job to pursue them. He enjoys working with others to chase his dreams and also likes playing games.
Relationships
Carneau tries to be a role model to Johaness and wants to introduce him to the Junior Air Carriers, a group in which Johaness has no interest. Scouting Johaness to the Air Carriers is his way of trying to do something good for the boy as he believes routine, discipline and guidance to be important. This hinders Johaness' dream of building a boat, as Carneau will repeatedly deny his requests for a docking permit.
During the seasonal event Johaness' Spring Festivities, Johaness encounters and befriends the First Mate of a shipwreck. The two of them have a sibling-like relationship for the duration of the event and Johaness seems to look up to her.
