An inhabited menagerie full of pets.
The Menagerie is the name for the player's collection of pet habitats (often called "pens"), inside of which the player's pets are housed.
A player can have a total of 60 habitats in their Menagerie, making room for a total of 1,200 pets. (The maximum amount of habitats can be increased to 120 if Maximum Pet Pen Expansions are used.)
The Menagerie tab can be found on the Account tab, under Account > Menagerie.
How to Use
The "Manage All Pens" menu, from which habitats can be rearranged, added, and deleted.
Actions can be taken on both the habitats in the menagerie and the pets in the habitats. These actions can be taken by using the "Manage Pen" or "Manage All Pens" menu on the right side of the habitat.
Taking Action on Habitats
From the Menagerie, the habitat(s) can:
- Be renamed,
- Have a different theme applied,
- Be created,
- Be deleted (if it is empty of pets), and
- Be rearranged relative to other habitats.
To rename, re-theme, or delete a habitat, select the "Manage Pen" menu on the right side of the habitat and choose the desired action.
To create or rearrange a habitat, select the "Manage All Pens" menu on the right side of the habitat and choose the desired action. More information on creating habitats can be found on the Habitats page.
A player can view each of the Menagerie's habitats by using the navigation options at the top of the pen: the arrows (top left) near the pen name will navigate to the next or previous habitat, and the dropdown menu (top right) can be used to jump to any habitat.
Taking Action on Pets
From the Menagerie, pet(s) can:
- Have their profile viewed,
- Be rearranged,
- Be moved to different habitats,
- Be selected for Pet Alchemy, and
- Be deleted.
Pets can be arranged in their current habitat by dragging them to the desired location and then clicking the "Save Pet Order" button at the bottom of the pen. They can also be moved to another habitat by selecting the checkbox beneath their image and then the desired destination from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the pen.
A pet's profile can be viewed by clicking the "View Profile" text beneath their image.
To select pets for Pet Alchemy, the player can select the checkbox beneath the pet's image and then click the "Alchemize" button at the bottom of the pen. This works for up to five pets across habitats, and five pets will be loaded into the Pet Alchemy screen (player confirmation is still required to alchemize the pets).
A pet can be deleted by slecting the checkbox beneath their image and clicking the "Release" button at the bottom of the pen. This action cannot be undone.
Increasing Menagerie Size
Maximum Pet Pen Expansions can be used to increase the number of pens from 60 to 120 (and therefore, the number of pets a player can have from 1,200 to 2,400). This item can be bought for turnips, the premium currency, in Agnes' Perpetual Shop.
