Pinot is a witch that resides in The Red Tower, next to Three's Forest. During the Witches' War, he appears as the mysterious Stranger and a three-eyed crow in order to orchestrate an elaborate "prank" on Barclay, his former classmate.
After making amends, he builds the tower where the Stranger's Mire once stood, and sets up shop inside, helping out residents of the forest with magical solutions to their problems.

Background
Pinot went to the prestigious witch academy Solsthera. He was a top student with straight A's, specializing in three types of magic. After graduating, he found himself feeling lost and without a purpose and simply wandered, until he found Barclay's cottage and decided to play a prank on him.
After his tricks were revealed, he apologized for the harm that he inadvertently caused to Three's Forest and its residents. He then reversed the damage and vowed to stay and help the forest thrive, hoping to find his purpose there.
Personality
Pinot is a studious but mischievous witch trying to find his place in the world.
Relationships
Barclay is Pinot's former classmate and his self-declared nemesis. They reunite at the end of the Witches' War after it is revealed Pinot has orchestrated the whole conflict in order to prank him because Pinot felt that Barclay was wasting his talent on squabbling with the other witches. Despite declaring Barclay his nemesis, it is suggested that Pinot has had a crush on him for some time, to which Barclay appears oblivious and has yet to indicate that he returns.
At the end of the Witches' War, Pinot realizes that his actions have hurt the residents of Three's Forest in ways he did not expect. He decided to stay partly to try and make amends to Magdalene, Irin, Trout and the sprites, who have warmed up to the idea of Pinot's magic helping the forest.
Before moving to the forest, Pinot always got along with his family and never disobeyed them. Now that he's doing something they might disapprove of, he's anxious about how they'd react. After reaching 1,500 Affection with him, he finally gets the courage to talk to his family again, and says that it went better than he expected.

Some of the items that Pinot wears can be found in Pinot's Apothecary, along with an assortment of other items. It's unlocked by completing the quest A Fresh Start.

To my always trustworthy world-hopper, Hello! I wanted to write and ask how you are, have you had any fun experiences lately? Me? Yeah, I'm having fun I think. Barclay and I have been cooking up new hobbies, I think at this point we're kind of... frenemies. Anyways, I got into literally cooking! It's a very precise science I'll have you know. Barclay would beg to differ considering his cooking habits which are very haphazard. I don't approve of it but what can you do. I recently built an inductive furnace that would sustain an even heat throughout its interior, it's great for the art of pastries! I perfected a recipe for baking a... tart? Pie? I can never figure out the difference. Magdalene says it can be whatever I want to call it, but I don't think that's very scientific.
