Sharkvolk is a seasonal mini-event that made its first appearance during April Fools' Day 2018. It takes place during the first week of April. In 2022, this event was superseded by A Strange Sky (Mini-Event) and has not been held since; however, the Sharkvolk-exclusive items are available in the recurring April Fools' Event shops.

Temporary Features
- The site's header featured a large shark fin in the distance.
- Avatars and pets became submerged in water, with a shark fin seen in the background.
- Premium received the title of Catshark. Non-premium users received the title of Pygmy Shark.
- Two Alchemy recipes yielded the Sharkvolk Post Border.
- An Alchemy recipe yielded the Unsuspicious Puddle.

Sharkvolk 2018
"Due to a recent and much needed change of leadership, we are pleased to announce that Dappervolk is now undergoing renovations to become - a hardcore avatar and shark collecting site with a painterly shark art style, RPG elements, and an ever-expanding world of shark-centric quests!
By popular demand, all of the original towns will be flooded with water and the existing townsfolk will be put to the test - do they sink, swim, or somehow find a raft in time? Meanwhile, sharks of all kinds will begin appearing throughout the world to assume their rightful place as the true residents of Sharkvolk. Stay tuned to find out what happens next, as we update all of the maps, NPCs, games, and quests in the coming months to reflect the new state of the world!"
