Starry Night follows Astra's quest to dim the lightbulbs Lief has put up all around Aviar Cove, so that he can finally see the stars again. The game will have you choose one of two modes: drawing or typing. As the flying light bulbs approach Astra, you will have to draw or type the correct symbol or sequence to dim them. The player begins with six lives, shown in the top left corner, and will lose a life whenever a lightbulb gets close enough to touch Astra, the game ending when the lives run out.
The amount of symbols per light bulb increases with time, as does the number of points gained per symbol erased. Lightbulbs with two symbols will begin to appear when the player reaches 500 points, and lightbulbs with three symbols appear at 1000 points. There are four symbols in the game: a horizontal line, a vertical line, a lightning bolt, and a circle. The game starts with just the first two symbols, then introduces lightning bolts at 1600 points and circles at 2500 points. Eliminating one symbol in a row will temporarily stun the affected mobs. The order of the symbols does not matter. Lightning symbols can be drawn as "<" and circles as "C".
Quests[]
When Astra wants you to dim or smash some light bulbs for his daily quests, he wants you to play this game twice.
A Daily Potato Task may ask you to play this game, and a Daily Stat Boost Task may require you to play it three times.
Rewards[]
The minimum valid score is 100 points, with 3000-5999 resulting in a Candied Shells reward and 6000+ in a Starry Night Parfait. During the month of January, earning 10000+ points in Starry Night can result in a rare potential drop of Soll's Locks.
