Sysel is a NPC who can be found at The Carnival during The Winter Carnival.
Background
Unlike most of the carnival's denizens, Sysel's abode is permanent, built in the form of a spired house in the middle of an orchard. They dislike daylight and usually reject visitors during the day. It is implied that they are a "creature of the night" and have traveled far and wide in search of rare ingredients for their distillery.
Relationships
As shown in their daily seasonal quest, Sysel is familiar with multiple NPCs across Dappervolk, including Buli, Glume, Cairn, Celestine and Wras. These mentions are accepted by them as proof of the player's "connections."
Buli has met Sysel at least once, and knows of the assistants they send to collect ingredients.
It is possible that Sysel is friends with Idra, as they possess knowledge of a secret location supposedly known only to Idra.
Chit Chat
Chit-chatting with an NPC will give a maximum of +1 
per day. They will repeat the same sentences indefinitely, but it’s a nice way of getting to know a bit more about Dappervolk and its inhabitants.

During the Winter Carnival event Sysel's items - as well as some seasonal winter clothes - can be found in their shop, Sysel's Distillery.
