Totems

Totems are equipment which can be used to increase a pet's temporary stats. Some can also be used in Item Alchemy, and a pet might also ask for one in their daily errands. Each pet can equip up to 3 different totems (duplicate totems may not be equipped). Totems may be removed from pets at any time.

Common Rarity Inedible Totems

An unlimited amount of inedible Common totems can be obtained. Edible totems of the Common rarity can be viewed here.

Uncommon Rarity Inedible Totems

An unlimited amount of inedible Uncommon totems can be obtained. Edible totems of the Uncommon rarity can be viewed here.

Rare Rarity Inedible Totems

With the exception of the Luck Totem, an unlimited amount of inedible Rare totems can be obtained. Edible totems of the Rare rarity can be found here.

Limited Rarity Inedible Totems

Some totems of Limited rarity also exist and are typically rewarded for supporting Dappervolk with real currency in various ways. These items are no longer available through means other than trading. Edible totems of the Limited rarity can be found here.

Pet Food Totems

Some totems that can be consumed by pets (i.e. pet foods) can also be equipped as totems. They can be of any rarity and can be obtained through means such as NPC Affection milestones and side quests.

Hatching Item Totems

Some town-specific pet hatching items also double as totems. They are usually of any rarity except for Limited, and an unlimited amount can be obtained.

Note that some hatching items were obtainable through monthly limited sets, and additionally, that some seasonal event totems are also hatchable. Those items can be found on their respective subpages.

NPC Totems

NPC-specific affection totems can be obtained by reaching 500 affection with the associated NPC and completing the accompanying side quest. With the exception of Ornate Red Apple, only one copy of each is available to be obtained at this time.

Note that some edible pet food totems are also available at certain NPC affection milestones.

Seasonal Totems

Seasonal totems are most commonly available through site events and will sometimes also hatch event-specific pets. Additionally, seasonal purchase bonuses from Pai's Shop of Wonders, Oran's Emporium, and Agnes' Perpetual Shop will award components that can be alchemized into premium seasonal hatching items.

Note that some hatching item totems are not seasonal.

Monthly Limited Set Totems

Each month, Dappervolk releases monthly limited themed clothing sets which occasionally contain hatching items that can also be equipped as totems. These are available from Pai's Shop of Wonders, Oran's Emporium, and Agnes' Perpetual Shop. The clothing sets retire at the end of the month.
